About the Event
NEXT-AI 2026 is a three-day UK workshop dedicated to neuromorphic technologies and hardware AI, bringing together researchers, industry innovators, start-ups, funders, and policymakers to explore the full development stack — from emerging materials and photonic/electronic platforms to algorithms and real-world applications.
Hosted by the Emergent Photonics Research Centre at Loughborough University, the event will provide a cross-disciplinary platform spanning photonics, electronics, AI/ML, and neuroscience-inspired computing. The programme features keynote talks, thematic sessions, poster presentations, ECR-led activities, and networking events designed to foster collaboration and highlight UK capabilities within an international context.
